13 Gift Ideas For The Witch In Your Life
Christmas is fast approaching and we all know how daunting it can be to choose the perfect gift. In this post I’ve compiled a list of 13 gift ideas for the Witch in your life to make Christmas (and birthdays) a little bit easier for you.
As Witches we often think it’s so simple to find us something great because we have SO many interests but for those not in the circle, it can be really tough to know if something is appropriate or useful. Let’s take away that anxiety for you shall we!
#1 Crystals
When they said diamonds are a girls best friend, they really meant crystals and gemstones in general. Many Witches covet crystals, especially big, fancy or raw ones and often feel guilty spending their own money on these amazing rocks so it’s better if you do it for them!
Here are some great options like Blue Onyx Points for those who are interested in crystal healing and a big cluster of pink amethyst for those who want a show off piece.
P.S. Those links are for Inspired by 3 and She Earth which are by far my favourite local Aussie crystal sellers (and no, this is NOT sponsored by them in any way but a completely genuine love)
#2 Tarot & Oracle Decks
If they’re new to Tarot you can’t go wrong with an old faithful like the Rider Waite Smith Tarot deck.
A more experienced reader may enjoy something a little different like the unique like the Tarot of the Sorceress or the galactic phallic alien vibes of the Cosmic C*nt Tarot
If your Witchy friend is more into Oracle decks, some great options are the Queen of the Moon Oracle deck and I also recommend the Sacred Self Care Oracle, both of which are absolute works of art.
#3 Candles
It’s a pretty safe bet that most Witches like candles. You can be sure they’ll appreciate a standard scented candle, solely for ambience but for brownie points try the incredible Goddess candle by Amy from Rosethorne cottage.
The alternative to a standard scented candle is a ritual candle like Aphrodite from Elfhame which is a must have item at all times in my own sacred space (Hint, if you’ve listened to my Witch Talks podcast episode with Amy, this is the one I use for my sex candle!)
Lastly, small spell candles such as chime or wish candles or even a big bag of tea lights are always appreciated!
#4 Witchy books & Classes
If your friend loves to read, they might like a book or a class!
But it can be hard to know the great ones from the duds. Here are some suggestions for you;
BOOKS:
If your friend likes Tarot, you can’t go past Seventy-Eight degrees of Wisdom by Rachel Pollack and you can check out all my other witchy book recommendations and reviews here.
Some people aren’t a big fan of non-fiction books and would prefer an escape from the real world. In that case I can suggest The Witching Hour by Anne Rice as a Witchtastic novel!
CLASSES:
For classes, you can’t go past Leonie Dawson, an amazing, neurodivergent fellow Aussie spiritual business owner, she is a prolific course and class creator and you can find all her stuff here with my affiliate link (P.S. I ONLY partner with people I’ve learnt from and LOVE)
You can always find my own classes here at any time too!
#5 Intentional Jewellery
Jewellery is always a nice touch, and ensuring it has some meaning behind it will go a long way to anchoring you in your Witches heart. Blessed Be stock a range of incredible, dainty and understated witchy pieces which I adore and if you use the code SUBURBANWITCH15 you will also get a lovely 15% off!
My favourite is the triple moon goddess ring, I literally never take it off.
#6 Incense & Essential Oils
Incense is a perfect way to cleanse items with its smoke, and even set the space or intention for a ritual. Some great scents to choose from would be this Nag Champa incense and you can’t go wrong with Sandalwood.
Alternatives to smoke for our Witches with Asthma would be some beautiful, calming essential oils. Try to buy organic where possible. A popular oil for meditation and astral work is Clary Sage as it helps to free the mind. Frankincense is another beautiful scent with many healing and protective qualities.
*note; if your Witchy friend is pregnant they cannot safely use Clary Sage until they are in labour.
#7 Practical Craft Accoutrements
Tools form an essential part of Witchy work, but unfortunately aren’t often considered for gifts because they’re so practical in nature. This style of gift is perfect for the Virgo or Capricorn in your life who values such practical things.
An incense holder for that lovely incense you got them for their birthday, or even a candle snuffer to safely extinguish their ritual candles before going to bed.
I also have a lovely witchy desktop planner for 2024 which is great for Witches, especially if they’re a virgo or have ADHD like me!
#8 Witchy pamper stuff
Self-love rituals can form a major part of the craft. Afterall, we all need a little pick me up and some me time every now and then. You can’t really go wrong with anything that will make your Witch friend feel pampered and loved.
My favourites are incorporating crystals into the skin care routine like this Rose quartz facial roller and gua sha. As well as beautiful Witchtastic bath salts for those glorious full moon baths.
#9 Tapestries or Artwork
Home décor with a metaphysical bent is sure to delight your Witchy friend! The tarot card themed tapestries are always a hit.
This Moon version is really neat and this colourful Sun card tapestry is gorgeous!
If you know your friends zodiac sign, I highly recommend one of Hannah Rae Powell’s gorgeous zodiac prints. Perfect for a more laid back, natural witchy vibe in your friends home.
#10 House plants
Most Witches have a love of nature therefore house plants are a fantastic gift idea! If you’re able to get to a nursery some great options are a fiddle leaf fig, jade plant for good luck or a philodendron.
If you want something you can grab easily online I’d suggest a book on plants such as Plantopedia.
#11 Tea and Herbs
A lot of Witches resort to teas and herbs for healing before turning to Western medicine (dependent on the ailment). A common addition to the witches tea cabinet is Valerian Root to aid in sleep spells, dream work or to cure standard insomnia (not pregnancy safe).
Another common tea is a simple Lemongrass and Ginger, perfect for an upset tummy and to aid with after dinner digestion.
#12 Tools
Every Witch needs some tools in her back pocket and no I’m not talking about a hammer or screwdriver. A Witches tools are things like a Pendulum, Scrying mirror, Ouija board or Cauldron.
All of these items make great gifts for your witchy friend, depending on their specific style of Witchcraft. If they’re a Christian Witch, they may not appreciate the Ouija board but I’m yet to meet a Witch who doesn’t love a Pendulum or Cauldron!
This copper pendulum is really unique and different and this rose quartz pendulum has a super gentle energy to it.
In terms of scrying mirrors I’d recommend a black obsidian like this small obsidian mirror or if you’ve got some money to burn you could upgrade to a large 20cm version like this one from my favourite Witchy store (I have this exact one at home and LOVE it).
For a Ouija board, you can try the classic version from Amazon or this beautiful handmade ouija board from Yiska Designs (hint, she also makes pendulum boards which would go great with a pendulum for a Christmas gift!)
#13 Witchy subscription
Still at a loss on what gift to buy for your Witchy friend? How about a subscription box full of Witchy goodies that are hand selected by a real Witch.
The High Priestess box is a great option for those in Australia or the Tamed Wild box for those in the US
OR you could gift them a months access to my private group; The Suburban Witches Society where I share witchy resources such as access to past classes, personal spells, behind the scenes podcast episodes and I include a free reading for them every month on our group call! You can sign them up for a monthly subscription or a full year if you’re feeling generous!
I hope this post has given you perhaps even more than 13 gift ideas for the Witch in your life! Remember to come back for more suggestions around their birthday too!
Don’t forget that most Witches appreciate the thought and sentimentality behind the gift much more than the item itself.
Wrap it by hand, and place a pretty leaf or flower through some string and your friend will be thrilled.
You can always check out the offerings on my shop too.
Wishing you a joyous holiday season!
Brightest Blessings,
Hana the Suburban Witch
